When I’m traveling, I’m always walking as much possible. It’s incredible the feel for a city you get when you’re not whirring by in a car. From smells on the sidewalk to eye contact with passerbys, details create a strong connection to a place.
A place I could visit again and again is Mexico. It has seemingly endless food, landscapes and color. I could travel for months throughout this vibrant country and still be surprised by its people and diverse environments.
The best meal I’ve had abroad is a Portuguese sandwich called a francesinha. I was wholly unprepared for the elaborate creation I would experience at a small café in Porto. This local favorite has melted cheese wrapped around it, covered in a beer sauce, with tiny shrimp on top. 10/10.
