Arrive early to explore on your own

"Production Designer Jackie and I traveled to Switzerland four days before our Jewels of Alpine Europe tour started and it was amazing. We were able to explore more rural areas leisurely and adjust to the time difference, all before the tour even began! It was a great opportunity to add a few days to our trip without extra flights.” —Stephanie, Interactive Designer

Discover somewhere new on a stopover

“I added a stopover in Copenhagen before my St. Petersburg & the Baltics tour, which give me a chance to add another city and country to my trip. It also gave me a couple of extra days before the tour began to adjust to the time difference at a calmer pace and explore the city based on my own interests.” —Shayna, Program Coordinator

Wind down at the end of your tour

“In 2013, Email Marketing Coordinator Cara and I traveled on the Belize tour, and we decided to end our trip by renting a little beach shack off the coast on Caye Caulker. We were able to snorkel, eat local food, kayak in the Caribbean and relax on the island after a moderately active tour—it was a wonderful experience.” —Ashley, Assistant Manager, Customer Relations

Visit another destination to cap off your trip

“After my recent Food & Wine: Southern Italy & Sicily tour, I decided to extend my trip with a friend and travel up the coast. The tour ended in Vietri sul Mare, the southernmost town on the Amalfi Coast, and we chose to take the ferry north to Positano. We stayed in a hilltop B&B in the village of Montepertuso, hiked the Path of the Gods and spent hours on the beach.” —Jenna, Graphic Designer
