Washcloths
Reply

Just a reminder...you probably will not see any washcloths in Europe (for Italy and Ireland for sure).  You may want to buy one or two cheaper ones to bring and use, then throw away when you leave.

Happy travels!

I actually need more that a few - at least one a day.  Our first trip I had to buy some there.  Now I go to K-mart or some such and buy a package of 25 or so cheapie cloths, wash them up, and pack tightly the number I need.  They do not take much room.  They are so inexpensive I do not feel bad about just throwing them away.  An alternative is to purchase some of those cloths that expand when wet and are packaged looking like a large pill wrapped in cellophane.  Some of the travel supply companies carry them.

I took the expanding pill-type wash cloths once.  It's like using a paper towel.  I don't recommend them.  If you're a wash-cloth addict (as I am), just figure how many different hotels you'll be staying in and take that many cheap wash cloths that you can throw away.

I have used Olay Facial Cleansing Cloths.  Use as directed on your face, add additional soap, use on your body & throw away.  This has worked for me on several European trips.

This is also what I did.  It's one of my travel essentials!  I also tossed a couple of the pill type compressed-expanding in water washcloths and used them along the way.  You can even buy paper thin travel shampoo at some travel stores but it's not cheap.  It's a good idea if you are watching  luggage space and weight though.
