Hello out there......  Did anyone go on the May 09, 2009 trip?  We were booked on it and unfortunately had tocancel at this last minute.  Did you have a good time? Was the weather great? Did you take the trip to Capri? How was your group and guide? Would you go again? Thanks for any information. We are going to try to rebook, but would like to know if that is a good time of year to travel to Italy in regards to amount of crowds, and weather.  Pat

Hello,

We also are planning the Magic of Italy tour. Have used Trafalgar 3 times, good price, great tours and side trips included. There was at least 1 glitch per trip. How is Go Ahead?  Seems also to be a good price but with expensive side trips and less than 1/2 dinners included. Also read on eopinions that hotels were fairly distant from the sightseeing. With Trafalgar in Paris, we were at the base of the Eiffel Tower.

Thanks, Time Traveler.

Hello Time Traveler (and Pat),

I've traveled with GoAhead twice (walking tours of Tuscany and Provence) and am currently booked for trip #3. I have had excellent experiences: great guides, wonderful food, beautiful sights, and can't wait to see the Amalfi Coast in June.

The beauty of having only half your meals included is finding places on your own to try. Your guides will help, but if you check which days don't have dinners included and hit the internet with a few searches, you'll find some amazing places in these lovely towns.

May should be a good time to travel. I always go in June. While in Tuscany in 2007, one drop of rain hit my head while in Assisi: in Provence, we had some rain driving into Nice, but we were on the coach so it didn't matter.

Italy is an amazing country and GoAhead will serve it to you on a lovely platter.

Enjoy!

Ed
